Recognition as a Student Group
Your organization will be granted Northeastern University recognition after you have completed your constitution and bylaws, recruited a full-time faculty or staff member to serve as an advisor, submitted the registration and anti-hazing forms, obtained the necessary support letters, and received approval from the Student Affairs Board.- New Student Organization workshops will be held beginning in August 2008. These workshops are required for tentative status as a student organization.
- Constitution Workshops will be held by the Student Affairs Board and will be required for full recognition by Student Activities.

Financials & Funding
The standard sources of funds for recognized student organizations include:- Student Activities Fee allocations

"The Student Activities Business Office ("SABO") is the financial center for all student organizations. SABO provides accounting and banking services, fee-free accounts, monthly financial statements, and financial training.

Office Space
Student group office space allocation is controlled by the Student Center Governing Board ("SCGB"). The Office Space Allocation Request Form is found under the SCGB's webpage.Once the form has been completed it must be submitted to the SCGB, which is chaired by the SGA's Vice President for Student Services (contact information).
"To apply for office space in the Curry Student Center student groups must fill out the application form. The application form is available either in the Student Government Office from the Vice President for Student Services or online at the Student Government website. Once a student Group has filled out the application they may be asked to come before the space allocations subcommittee of the Student Center Governing Board for an interview. The Groups will be scored on the basis of their interview and application. Groups with the highest scores will be given offices."
