Accountability

One of the largest underlying issues that we must address at Northeastern is establishing consistent policies and procedures. Once established, there will be a measurable benchmark to which we can hold offices and professors accountable.

Defining Processes
The main aspect of accountability that we are going to address is the lack of clearly defined processes. After discussing this issue at length, it is clear that it is not isolated to one office or department. Rather, it is an issue that affects the campus as a whole, particularly when multiple offices are involved in a process. By defining these processes and making the required steps readily available, the affects of the "NU Shuffle" on your everyday life can be significantly reduced. We're talking about a few potential solutions to start definining these processes and should have more information soon.

Online Test Bank
All students should have a fair opportunity for academic success while at Northeastern. We're looking into creating an online test bank, so that all students will have the same preparation for exams. This ensures accountability of professors to make alterations to tests from one year to the next and ensures that all students have equal access to material.

Quick Fixes

A Student alerted Amanda Sabia, VP of Academic Affairs, that a 3-hole punch in the library was misaligned.  Amanda told her contact at the library and the 3-hole punch was adjusted later that day.

SGA will address issues no matter how large or small. If there is something that you see needing fixing, alert us on the I love Northeastern, but... page.
