January’s I AM A HUSKY Award Winner: Ariella Sharf
SGA is proud to announce Ariella Sharf as January’s I AM A HUSKY Award Winner!
Ariella is being recognized for creating the company Heads Up for Charity. Head’s Up for Charity incorporates fashion and charity into one business. The buyer gets to choose a charity that will receive a portion of the proceeds from each purchase.
“Heads Up is a jewelry company which utilizes a penny on every product making each Heads Up piece a lucky charm.”
Although Ariella is still a full-time student her company is expanding across the country. Head’s Up has partnered with the company donni charm to expand the idea of fashion for a cause. Each donni charm scarf features a penny and angel wing charm and also donates a portion of the proceeds to a charity of your choosing. Head’s Up for Charity recently began a Brand Ambassador program with Brand Ambassadors from colleges and universities across the company holding Head’s Up trunk shows and assisting with Head’s Up social media. You can find Head’s Up for Charity on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
“We want to raise people’s “Heads Up” to what is going on in the world and encourage them to give back in a fashionable way. It is simply fashion for a cause.”
As a recipient of the I AM A HUSKY Award, Ariella will be recognized at a men’s ice hockey game this month and also receive a prize package including gift cards to vendors across the city such as the Northeastern University Bookstore, Qdoba, J.P. Licks, Conor Larkin’s, Boloco, Wagamama, Johnny Cupcakes, TGIFriday’s, Boardwalk Properties and several more!
