Committees are small deliberative bodies that consist of members of a larger parent assembly and/or members of other organizations (such as Faculty and/or Administration).

• Research and recommendations

Standing Committees

Standing Committee: a permanent committee usually granted jurisdiction over a specific area of legislation

Ad-hoc Committee: a temporary committee formed to deal with a specific issue or task that is then dissolved upon completion (which usually includes issuing a recommendation, usually in the form of a report to the Senate)
