About
Known as the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution ("OSCCR"), OSCCR is committed to enhancing the academic mission of the university by creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and productive living and learning community.Through provided programs and services, OSCCR is committed:
- To the enforcement of the Code of Student Conduct, as created by student, faculty and staff members of the university community;
- To be fair, consistent, and just and to treat each individual with dignity and respect through the administration of the disciplinary process;
- To promote and instill the values of civility and good citizenship; specifically, respect for self, respect for others, and respect for established community standards of behavior;
- To provide a community free of intimidation, harassment or unfair treatment on the basis of race, religion, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status;
- To provide student leadership opportunities though involvement in the judicial, mediation, and student ethical development programs offered;
- To provide students with life-long skills necessary for positive and productive conflict management;
- To provide educational programs and activities that serve the university community in preventing violations of the Code of Student Conduct; and
- To the holistic development of the student through programs that provide opportunities for ethical development, development of conflict management/resolution skills, and an understanding and appreciation for standards of community behavior.
