Executive

The Executive Branch, composed of the Executive Board, is responsible for implementing and executing the will of the Senate through its legislation, in addition to coordinating the day-to-day affairs of the Association.

The Executive Board consists of six elected officials: the President is directly elected by the student body while the Vice Presidents are elected by the Joint Senate. Each Executive officer is granted a set of jurisdictions as prescribed by the Association's Constitution and Bylaws. The Executive term lasts one calendar year, beginning at the beginning of Summer II and ending at the end of Summer I of the following year.

An incomplete overview of each Executive position is as follows (see the Association's Constitution for complete descriptions):

President

• Acts as chief spokesperson for the Association
• Chairs the Senate
• Reports to the Senate on the Executive Board's actions and activities
• Facilitates the Association's involvement in University committees and decisions

Executive Vice President for Student Affairs

• Chairs the Student Affairs Board, which oversees all student groups on campus
• Assumes the Association's presidency in the event of a presidential absence
• Acts as liaison with the Association's Judicial Branch
• Acts as liaison with respect to diversity
• Approves all changes to the Student Code of Conduct

Vice President for Academic Affairs

• Facilitates student concerns/grievances regarding academics
• Acts as liaison with all administrative and academic jurisdictions under the University Provost
• Acts as liaison with the University Faculty Senate

Vice President for Administration and Public Relations

• Coordinates Association fund raising, programming, and public relations efforts
• Appoints and manages the Association's office staff
• Oversees all Association internal budget/fiscal matters

Vice President for Financial Affairs

• Chairs the Budget Review Committee, which controls the Student Activities Fee
• Facilitates student concerns/grievances regarding financial affairs, including tuition and scholarships
• Monitors the Recreation Fee and makes allocation recommendations
• Presents student priorities for inclusion in the University Budget process

Vice President for Student Services

• Oversees the operations of the Curry Student Center, via the Student Center Governing Board, including the allocation of student group office space
• Appoints a liaison to the Resident Student Association's General Council
• Facilitates student concerns/grievances regarding student services, including but not limited to housing, dining, health care, public safety, information technology, facilities, and campus recreation.
