My name is Kate Chandley and I am a 2nd year International Affairs and Political Science student. I am excited to be this year’s Vice President for Student Involvement and I hope to show my excitement and passion through many initiatives this year.
One of the first things I did as a senator in the Student Government Association was apply to be a member of the Student Involvement Board. As someone who loves and values student organizations and involvement on campus, it made sense to me that I would join the Student Involvement Board. I quickly became passionate about this Board that works with tentatively recognized organizations as well as to provide resources to student organizations.
This year as the Vice President for Student Involvement, I am excited to continue a lot of wonderful initiatives such as Student Leadership Day, Presidents’ Meetings, our new check-in system, and Monthly Workshops. Going forward, I look forward to finding ways to promote collaboration between student organizations as well as working to increase Husky Pride by promoting collaboration between student organizations and athletics.
I hope all students and organizations on campus see the Student Involvement Board and me as a resource, and I am always excited to work with anyone! If you have questions, concerns, or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email is k.chandley@neu.edu or you can reach me through the Student Involvement Board email.
